Database Updates
Panacea has an online update facility that enables users to automate changes to their database.  This proved to be very handy earlier this year when Datamax provided Panacea users with various options with regard to their tariffs.  For example, using automated updates we made it possible for Panacea users to implement over 70 customized tariff schedules, matching the rates published by each medical aid.  As an alternative we provided updates making it possible for Panacea users to implement a split billing  approach.  (Click here  for an example of a statement showing split billing.)

The important point here is that Datamax is able to provide users with these updates very quickly and easily, and without any effort on the part of the user.  We provide a comprehensive description of what each update does.  If the user wants to execute the update all they have to do is click on it.  Updates generally take only a few seconds to execute.

Earlier this year our competitors were sending letters to their clients explaining how they should update their systems.  Some were offering to do it on behalf of their users, but this would take many hours and would cost the client thousands of rands.  Panacea users, on the other hand, could simply click on the relevant update - free of charge!

Sofware Updates
Panacea is developed on an ongoing basis.  We are continually improving Panacea by adding new functionality, refining existing functionality and fixing known problems.

In order to keep you up-to-date with the latest version, Panacea will check everyday to see if a newer version is available.  If a newer version is available, Panacea will offer to install it.  Installing newer versions in entirely automated and usually takes less than a minute.

Note that there is no additional charge for database or software updates.
